This is the last of the three books covering the shells of this region. It is the most complete of the three. There are 623 shells depicted and described in this book. Also, there are nomenclatural and taxonomic changes that have taken place since Cernorhorsky's earlier works were published. The book covers mollusks in the geographical region from the Marquesas Islands to the western part of Papua-New Guinea. The author was rightly considered to be an expert in the shells from this part of the world. This is a used copy of the book that has some signs of shelfware on its dust jacket. The text and the plates of the book are almost as if they were new.
