England, this is the revised and expanded edition of the original 1965 publication, hardcover in green buckram binding with a printed dust-jacket, 180 pages, about 13 by 20 cm., or 5 by 8 inches, illustrated with black and white drawings of the 194 species included in the text, 1 full-page color photographic plate and 3 additional page size black and white drawings and black and white photographs.

This book is an English import and translation of the original work. I provided detailed coverage of the terrestrial and freshwater mollusks found in the United Kingdom. Both naive and introduced species are included in this book. It is up-to-date with name and classification changes to these mollusks up to the 1982 date of this publication. There is a comprehensive introductory section covering the biology and collection of these mollusks. The identification of the mollusks studied contains extremely good descriptions and the drawings are clear. This is a library copy and the dust-jacket is covered in clear plastic. There are some places on the front cover and the spine where the plastic cover has been torn. There is a small library label near the bottom of the spine and a few library stickers on the front end-paper. The body of the book is as new.
