This is the second edition of this remarkable work in a series by Debelius on sea life. Like the other books that he has done it features the extraordinary color photographs that he has taken. The main focus and largest part of this book is on the Nudibranchs snails. but, the first part of the book, more than 100 pages is given mainly over to the study of the Gastropods. Every mollusk in this book is beautifully illustrated with a color photograph and each is described with detailed information. The book covers species found in the Red Sea, South Africa, and the West Coast of the Americas, a rather broad definition of the Indo-Pacific. It is written as a guide for divers, but anyone with an interest in mollusks will find this book to be a great addition to their bookshelves. This book is an unused copy that is perfect except for a small bump at the top open corner of the front cover. There was a 3rd edition of this book published in 2001, three years after this edition which offers a few slight revisions and is published by ConchBooks.
