This book is an excellent source for persons interested in the biology, growth, and the development of colors and patterns in the Conidae. Sadly it is a book that is almost impossible to find today. This is only the second copy of this book that I've ever had and, the first one was about 10 years ago. It is a very technical book and not one that the casual collector will find useful. But for advanced collectors and scientific workers, it is an essential reference work. This is a used book that was formerly in the University of Buckingham (U.K.) and was withdrawn. There is a bookplate of the library stamped "withdrawn" and a label with catalog number pasted inside the front cover. Also, on the colophon page there is a stamp with catalog information also stamped "withdrawn". Apart from that the book looks as new as if it had just been printed.
