I consider this set of books to be the "holy grail" for all people interested in studying and collecting the terrestrial mollusks of North America. It is difficult to find a complete set of four books today. They were not many copies made. This is a used set of the original paperbacks that have been bound in hardcovers. They show some very slight signs of shelfware but apart from that almost appear to be new. I did find two or three penciled notations named by the book's original owner on a handful of pages in the text. The owner's name is written inside the front cover of 2 of the books. There is some slight foxing inside the covers and on the front flyleaf pages. This set is only the second one that I have ever offered for sale.
