Also contains identification keys for the species in the regions of Africa that are covered.

To say that "A Guide to the Hunter Shells" is a monumental work does not do it justice. This oversized book covers two of the subfamilies in the superfamily Streptaxoidea that are found in Africa. These shells are often very small and their complex structures make them very hard to identify. This book provides clear photographs of these shells oftentimes with drawings as well. The author provides a very clear and concise descriptive box with the characteristics of the shells and he provides some comments about them. We hope that the author continues his studies and presents us in the future with similar studies of other shells. I think that this book will be of great value to serious landshell collectors as well as a fantastic tool for scientific workers for their study of these shells.
