This book is a nice guide to some of the most common and some uncommon mollusks that can be found along the beaches and shallow-water shorelines of the New England states. The book covers 69 species and each is illustrated with realistic drawing. The descriptions are nicely done and include characteristics of each of the shells and information about where they can be found as well as other interesting information about them. This is a nice book to have if you are collecting the New England area and i is one that even advanced collectors will find useful. I wish though that some of the smaller illustrations were larger to better see the shell's structure.
