This is an excellent field guide to the rich fossil fauna of molluscs and other forms of life that lived in North Carolina in the eras given in the title. It is a companion to the later book, "Cretaceous and Paleogene Fossils of North Carolina" by Chandler and Timmerman,published in 2019. Both books have brief but well written introductory pages and at the heart of the book are really well done drawings by Timmerman that will help to make identification of specimens easier. I recommend buying both of these volumes since both will have great value for field collectors and for paleontologists. The set can be purchased under it's own listing at a reduced price.
