This book is a very welcome addition to the growing list of books on non-marine mollusks. This book is especially welcome because it covers the mollusks found in fresh-water, brackish-water, and on the land of the Island of Martinique. In all 86 species are described, illustrated in color alive and as cabinet specimens. Also included are distribution maps and protection status. I had the pleasure of meeting the senior author many years ago and if ever there lived a dedicated malacologist Regis Delannoye would be the one. It is a pleasure to add this book to our inventory and recommend it highly for collectors and for shell professional workers with an interest in non-marine shells.
