Description
Memorias de la Sociedad Cubana de Historia Natural
(reprint)
El Genero Polymita by Carlos de la Torre y Huerta
Estudio Anatomica del Genero Polymita by A. Moreno Bonilla
No ISBN, originally published in August, 1950 by the Universidad de la Habana, Cuba, reprint bound in plastic protective cover, 8.5 by 11 inch page size (22 by 28 cm)
This is a high quality reproduction of this scarce work that is the cornerstone of subsequent research of the Cuban endemic land shells in the Genus Polymita. De La Torre's article consists of 32 pages of text and 11 page size plates of drawings in full color and page sized and the keys to the plates and there are 10 plates of anatomical drawings that are page sized and they are in black and white. There are additional blank pages that have been left included but have been inserted into the reprint most likely to prevent bleeding through of the pages during the printing process. Although they are reprints they are so far superior to other reprints of malacological books that are offered that there is simply no basis of comparison. Original copies of this work are scarce but these reprints adequately fill their place.
