This is a monumental work based on the study of 26,000 specimens and a review of 285 species- level taxa in 45 genera of these snails found in Polynesia, Micronesia and Fiji. Most of these shells were previously unreported and 84% of the genera and 54% of the species in this study are described as new. Both volumes are illustrated with large scale line drawings of the shells and their anatomy and there are also a few photos using a scanning electron microscope and there is an extensive discussion of each of the species. These books are quite rare today and we were fortunate to be able to obtain both volumes. These books were previously owned but they are in "as new" condition. There is a small bump on the upper corner of the second volume.
