To call this a monumental work does not give it enough credit. In all, there are 5000 color photographs covering 890 species. This work also introduces 3 new genera as well as 15 new species. It is the most complete book that has ever been done on the bivalved shells from this area.This set of books is something that the authors should be proud of having produced. We are pleased to be able to offer this 2 volume set at a new lower price.The books will appeal to amateur conchologists as well as professional malacologists. The first book "Bivalve Seashells of Western North America" is out of print and is difficult to obtain.
