This book is the result of more than 10 years of work and research by a very advanced amateur conchologist who saw the need for a systematic classification of the mollusca that would be concise, easy to use, and readily available to professional and amateurs involved with the taxonomy of molluscs. It is a tremendous aid in establishing the realtionships between molluscs at a supraspecific level. In the considerable number of years that have past since the publication of this book many changes have taken place in the structure of the family tree of molluscs. Never-the less most users will find this to be an extremely valuable tool for their shell classification. This is a used copy that is in excellent condition. There were two editions of this book published that differ only in their binding. This is the hardcovered edition, the other is a spiral bound book.
